I like the motto people used during the Great Depression, "Use It Up, Wear It Out, Make it Do, or Do Without." Of course, if possible, don't do without essentials, but we really need to reconsider what's essential.
Good motto! I like it too. I don’t think we need to be without essentials. But we do waste a lot, and there aren’t enough ressources for that, plus, we spread the waste all over. We could probably live good lifes without missing anything, could we only fix this unfortunate element in our behaviour.
